His Majesty William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV has argued his subjects to prioritise communal development as one of the transformative ways for the cultural institution.
Launching both New Life Academy Buwaidha and Nakawooma Foundation in Buyende District on Sunday, revealed that with a bottom to top approach as envisioned in the Buyende Development Center Master Plan, the area is bound to change for good.
“Am glad that our people have realized the importance of communal development. I challenge all our sons and daughters to continue doing the same as a way of fostering positive change.When this project is completed, am pretty sure that it will have a multiplier effect generally”, the Kyabazinga noted adding that concerted efforts should be channeled towards positive outcomes.
The King also encouraged his subjects to observe SOPs but put emphasis on vaccination as a mitigating measure against the pandemic.
On their part, Owek Ivan Kiirya Mulawa and Eng. Gerald Isabirye noted that the idea of the multimillion project is as a result of what they went through in their academic life whose cradle is associated with Nakabira Primary School.
The multimillion project, a brainchild of the daughters and sons of Buyende District will have a Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools alongside a health center, multipurpose center and a football pitch whereas the Nakawooma Foundation aims at helping vulnerable but brighter students among others.
The function was graced by the Deputy Commissioner General of Uganda Prisons James Mwanje and his wife also Permanent Secretary Ministry of East Africa Community Affairs-Edith Mwanje. Others were Under Secretary in the Ministry of Education and Sports Erikwaine, current and ex-MPs, LC5, Speaker Busoga Lukiiko, PS Busoga Kingdom, Bugabula BB officials, religious leaders, royals and princesses.
The monarch was seen off with several gifts that included bulls, goats, matooke among others.
