Fire guts NRM treasurer, Hon. Namayanja’s home twice!
There was a double fire breakout at the home of NRM Party National Treasurer, Hon. Rose Namayanja Nsereko in Masooli-Kasangati on Thursday evening and Friday morning.
The first incident happened on Thursday evening when the annex housing the gym got burnt to ashes. This building is located about 30 metres from the main house.
Yesterday (Friday) at around 8am, another fire started from the living room of the main house leaving several house property destroyed.
Hon. Namayanja, her husband and all house occupants, however, escaped with no injuries.
According to official communication from the party, the fire started Thursday, razing the annex housing the gm and threatening the family
“To yet another shock of the family, another fire started from the living room of the main house around 8:00 am on Friday morning, leaving several house properties destroyed,” reads part of the statement from the party.
The cause of the fires is not yet known to this day “but a joint team of experts led by Uganda Police has already embarked on the investigations and the home remains a scene of crime for now.”
The party also reports that all family members safely evacuated the house.
Namayanja has had her own share of trouble. In October 2015, while heading to Kasangombe Sub-county in Nakaseke District to attend a ground-breaking ceremony for the new Health centre III, was involved in a nasty accident at Kagogwa, Bombo road.
