Erute South MP Charles Angiro Gutumoi has been rushed to Mulago National Referral Hospital after he was involved in a car accident in Kiryandongo District.
Police say Mr Gutumo’s Noah car collided with a Fuso truck near Karuma Bridge.
“The MP was involved in an accident near Karuma on the Gulu-Kampala highway today morning at around 4:00am,” Albertine regional police spokesperson Mr Julius Hakiza said.
According to reports, the MP was driving to Kampala in his Toyota Noah vehicle UAV 089G when he collided with a Fuso Lorry, sustaining injuries.
He survived with his right leg fractured and other bruises on the head.
He’s currently admitted at Mulago National Referral hospital where he’s nursing a broken leg.
