Three Kenyan security officers who were armed were arrested in Hama Islands in Namayingo district after they shot out at the Ugandan security security who had arrested the kenyans over illegal fishing.
The officers were arrested and disarmed and they were taken to Namayingo police station.
The reason is that they wanted to rescue their fellow kenyans who were arrested over illegal fishing and this resulted into kenyans shooting against ugandans.
The RDC of Namayingo district Henry Kitambula said that the kenyans have always been crossing coming to uganda and they have have been opening fire against the ugandan officers who are keeping the islands and enforcing illegal fishing on lake Victoria.
The RDC says they arrested the Kenyan officers to show there countparts that they should respect ones borderlines.
He also said that they have an understanding with kenya and there is need to fight bad fishing on lake Victoria but the kenyans have gone on escorting there fishermen to do illegal fishing on lake Victoria as if they promote it.
The arrested officers from kenyan were handed over back to there country at night.
Jacob Nyarengo the conuty commissioner for sayia conuty also confirmed that it is true their officers from the adminstration police was arrested and they were now being handed over to them by the ugandan officers so that they can be taken back home.
The arrested officer were handed over to kenya through Busia coustoms.
