DPC made the remarks after mob rounded up a solar panel thief a long Kamuli – Jinja road near towheed Nursury and primary school in Kamuli municipality when he was found red handed removing the solar panel from the roof of the house.
Unidentified thief was lynched after the house owner made several alarms which captured the attention of the public which ganged up and thumped him on spot leaving him in critical conditions.
The mob was intercepted by police which came for rescue but he died a few minutes after being taken to Kamuli general hospital for medication.
Meanwhile, the DPC after learning that the solar thief was dead, he advised the youths and those intending to engage in illegal activities like theft to get saved to avoid being lynched.
He noted that the public is totally disgusted with the illegal activities especially theft done by the youths saying that they will be propelled to engage in mob activities to safe guard their property.
