Members of Parliament from opposition side have today held a press conference at the parliament where they invited journalists to address them about the amendment of the age limit bill which was passed yesterday by the parliament.
it is in this very conference where they launched their next step which is “kogikutteko”.
Winnie Kizza leader of opposition was the first to address to journalists and poured out her concern on the amendment of the bill.she thanked the MPs who stood and disagreed with the amendment.
She added that they are going to file a case against the parliament for amending the constitution in an improper way.
Other MPs like Mbwatekamwa Gaffa MP for Kasambya County and from NRM rebel camp also said that the parliament might have challenged them but its not yet over.
“You may win us but you will never win the hearts of Ugandans” said mbwatekamwa.
He added that the extension of MPs’ terms from 5 to 7 years was one way of tricking the MPs as to accept the amendment of the bill.
