In a long a waited press meeting at the Busoga Kingdom Headquarters today , the Busoga Kingdom Katwikiro Owek.Joseph Muvawala Nsekere has unveiled to the general public Busoga’s Inhebantu Her Royal Highness Mutesi Jovia, a born of Mayuge District in Bunga Bunanumba Chiefdom.
In a 30 minutes address, the Katwikiro alongside other Ministers in the Kingdom like the Minister for Culture Owek. Richard Mafumo and the Minister for youth affairs Owek. Mukembo, the Katwukilo said the family to the Inhebantu has accepted to give to Busoga HRH Mutesi Jovia and royals now await the traditional ceremonies to unify her as the Busoga Inhebantu.
Amidst jubilation and excitement at the Kingdom headquarters, Katwikiro Owek. Muvawala said, this has been the missing link in Busoga but since it’s been filled only progress and development is what awaits the region.
On behalf of the people of Busoga, the Kingdom and the cabinet, congratulated the Kyabazinga upon reaching this success.
“On behalf of the people of Busoga and the surrounding areas, and on my own behalf, I wish to congratulate the Isebantu and the Inhebantu upon this great and memorable decision of having a family which is synonymous with our Kisiga culture .” Owek. Muvawala said
Furthermore the Katwikiro mobilised all the Basoga and Uganda at large to be part of the memorable holy matrimony ceremony slated for 18th November 2023 at Bugembe Cathedral Church, a function to seal up the holy marriage.
Before this, a colorful function locked Mayuge yown where the traditional ceremony which many may call the introduction ceremony took place. More details are expected to prevail including the family, education and life biography of the Inhebantu.
This comes at the time when the Kyabazinga of Busoga is just days to the celebrations of the 9th coronation slated which is for 13th September 2023 making 9 years since 2014 when he was enthroned as the Kyabazinga.
